Return & Exchange Policy
1) Defective Items
What’s covered: Manufacturing or material defects.
When to report: Within 14 days of delivery.
How it works:
- Email support@codusdesign.com with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the defect
- A short description of the issue
- Once we confirm the defect, we’ll email you a prepaid return label.
- After the item is received and inspected, we’ll send a replacement at no cost.
2) Exchanges (Non-Defective Items)
What’s covered: Wrong size, color, or part — item must be unused and in original condition.
When to request: Within 30 days of delivery.
How it works:
- Email support@codusdesign.com with:
- Your order number
- What you’d like to exchange it for
- Ship the original item back and include your order number inside the package.
- Once we receive and inspect it, we’ll ship the exchange.
Shipping: All shipping costs for non-defective exchanges are the customer’s responsibility (both outbound and return).
3) Returns (Non-Defective Items)
What’s covered: Change of mind or no longer needed — item must be unused, uninstalled, and in original condition and packaging.
When to request: Within 30 days of delivery.
How it works:
- Email support@codusdesign.com with your order number and a brief note that you’re requesting a return.
- Ship the item back and include your order number inside the package.
- After inspection, we’ll issue a refund to the original payment method.
Refund details:
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- Items that show signs of use, installation, modification, or damage may be rejected or refunded partially at our discretion.
4) Shipping & Handling Summary
Defective replacements:
We cover return shipping with a prepaid label and ship replacements at no cost.
Customer exchanges and returns (non-defective):
You arrange and pay for shipping. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured carrier.
5) Limitations
- Only the original purchaser may request a defect replacement, exchange, or return.
- Items showing misuse, modification, or accidental damage are not eligible.
- We reserve the right to refuse any return, exchange, or refund that does not meet these conditions.
- Limited-run or back-in-stock items are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange (unless defective).

Codus Design uses an on-demand manufacturing approach with limited runs. Keeping returns and exchanges structured and predictable helps us manage production efficiently, keep pricing fair, and continue investing in better, more specialized kayak parts instead of overhead.
