The Codus Origin
Precision Engineering for the Tournament Grind.
Codus Design was born from a pursuit of the ultimate rig. I started with my own Old Town AutoPilot—stripping away cable clutter and engineering custom solutions for the friction points that cost anglers time. What began as a personal mission for efficiency quickly resonated with other serious anglers.
Today, those bespoke prototypes have evolved into a small-batch production line for deliberate, process-driven anglers. We refuse to compromise on usability and durability. If a gear isn’t useful for my daily setup, it doesn’t make it into the catalog.
Built to Outlast the Grind
Platform-Logic Design
Precision-engineered for maximize usable deck space with mounts that fit your rig’s specific layout, not a generic bracket.
Tournament-ready straight from the box. Every kit includes marine-grade hardware and precision instructions. No guesswork—pure functional excellence for the serious angler.
High-Density 3D Construction
Printed in UV-stabilized PETG with reinforced walls. 3D manufacturing enables complex, high-strength geometries impossible with traditional molding.
Stainless-Steel Hardware
Marine-grade 304/316 hardware in every joint. Built for high-corrosion environments to ensure your setup remains rock-solid for the life of your kayak.
Serviceable by Design
Standardized, replaceable components at every high-wear point. Because your time is better spent fighting fish than fighting broken hardware.
We don’t guess — we solve.
THE BUILD PROCESS
Our process is built on resolving the real-world snags that cost you time.
By integrating precise 3D CAD modeling with small-batch prototyping and destructive stress testing, we transform pain points into durable, rock-solid solutions.
Problem first — Identifying high-frustration and rigging friction in real on-water conditions.
3D Logic — Precision CAD engineering translates solutions into optimized tool-less geometry.
Prototyping — Small-batch 3D iterations using high-density PETG to ensure perfect rig fitment.
Stress Testing — Every component is pushed to its mechanical failure point to guarantee offshore reliability.
Rig Integration — Engineered for synergy with native Old Town and Garmin platform geometries.
Final Polish — Integrating specialized marine-grade hardware for a tournament-ready, rock-solid install.
The result is purpose-built gear that works as hard as you do, from the first cast to the final weigh-in.
Platform Integration
Old Town Optimized
Engineered for the Old Town AutoPilot platform. Reclaim your cockpit with mounts that respect your rig's native lines while maximizing usable deck space for a clean, tournament-ready workflow.
Workflow Driven
Eliminate the rigging friction that costs you fish. Every mount is battle-tested on the water to ensure your technical workflow remains bulletproof under pressure.
Garmin Ready
Zero-flex stability for EchoMap and GPSMAP arrays. Optimized for unobstructed sightlines and seamless FFS pole integration, keeping your focus entirely on the chase, not the hardware.
Rig Synergy
Stop fighting generic brackets. Our components work as a unified system tuned to your kayak's specific geometry to accelerate your performance on the water.
